Dearest Mercy, I meant to write to you long ago to thank you for my marvellous Whitsun but it was impossible to write in Dublin (!) and when I got home there were certain complications and distractions afoot. It was sad you couldn't all come to Dublin too; at a conservative estimate the drinking during my 7 days there averaged 12 hour per day. The place was full of Rodgerers all bickering their heads off. Also Dominic Behan who became a bit of a menace.
