c 50% naïve enthusiasts. The sad thing is that it is (in my opinion) a good play with no nonsense about it and doesn't require either sharp dealing or gush. But I suppose writing for the theatre is a mug's game. I'm sorry you didn't hear my Dark Tower. It's my favourite programme to date. The public either loved it or loathed it (I have a heap of letters – ecstatic and virulent). Mrs. Gray wrote to Hedli, greatly pleasing her. We move house at end of March and go all moujik in Essex. I'm looking forward to this but Hedli has bouts of alarm and despondency. Love to Mercy and yourself. Yours ever, Louis.
